How Whistleblowers Exposed the Fraud of Trevor Milton, Nikola's Founder

Episode Summary

In 2020, Nikola and its founder, Trevor Milton were on top of the world -- the electric truck maker had gone public and briefly surpassed Ford in value. In addition, General Motors announced it planned on investing in Nikola and work together on an electric truck. The next year, the house of cards came tumbling down thanks to whistleblowers, who exposed Milton made false and misleading statements about "nearly all aspects of the business." On today's Fraud in America, we're joined by Mark Puglsey who served as the Nikola whistleblower's lawyer and helped piece together the web of deceit around the motor company.
